Hello Sion,
I am currently restoring a 1953 Mk C that has 262 original miles but
was left outside for the better part of 50 years because of a loose
wire on the engine. It faired pretty well being all aluminum with
the exception of the wheels and the windshield which disintegrated.
I found the Bond Owners Club was not very friendly to American
enthusiasts. My first newsletter came with pages missing and was
told I wasn't allowed access to certain information such as cars and
parts for sale. Not to mention my membership dues were about 50% more
than U K members.
As a member of the International King Midget car club, my wife being
the treasurer, I found this to be very offensive and cancelled my
subscription. Why would any club treat an overseas member like a
second class participant? Anyway if you would like to exchange info
or pictures I would be very happy to.
I am currently looking for a wiring schematic and a windscreen for
mine. If anyone knows where I could acquire one please let me know.
A '53 Mk C sold about a year ago that had a serial number 20 numbers
after mine that was a left hand drive like my Bond. Maybe you could
track that one down. It was complete but needed a full restoration. I
went and took pics of it before it was shipped. If you would like I
could send those to you as well.
I would like to see some pics of your '52 if you would like to send
me some. Regards, MikeyB
